Pricing carbon is the right thing to do, it is an essential economic reform. Australians are the biggest polluters per capita in the developed world. Our climate is changing – we need to reduce carbon pollution now. If we delay pricing carbon now, we risk losing the jobs of the future and threaten our long term prosperity. This is the best way to stop businesses polluting and get them to invest in clean energy. Now is our time to build a clean energy future.
Julia Gillard
Ah the sweet smell of central planning…
Maybe I should write an article about the impossibility (and actually the complete philosophical ridiculousness) of “pricing” carbon.
By the way, Buddy, I will never go into politics, but I think the entire political game is really about organisation. You can win — even as a minority candidate — so long as you organise and communicate effectively. Talk about your sheep farming!
Juliar Gillard (Current PM) has a vote of 25% of the public. And we have compulsory voting!I am going to go into Politics and I won’t draw a salary. I will ask for alms from my electorate. I will have to sing for my supper.
I only want to go into it to hurl intellectual abuse using Parlimentary privellege. Keep the bastards honest so to speak. Only vote on legislation if they reduce their salary etc
BTW I am virtually off the grid (I am installing a Bio Diesel Generator) I am not paying their Carbon Tax!
Bwahahaha
I am sending that to my local MP. If he does not give me a job I am running as an Independent against him.
Nice. It really is a beautiful and hilarious piece of satire. Well done.
Thanks John.
Look who I will be up against. http://www.stevegibbonsmp.com/
Notice the Bushmaster vehicle we make. It eats the Taliban and Hummers for breakfast.
If I win, I am going to make it with bigger rocket launchers and a oversized cup holder.
Also my mother says I am better looking so that should get the female vote.
